Give Your Family a Gift of Peace

Final expense insurance is a small whole life policy specifically designed to cover funeral costs, burial expenses, and any remaining medical bills — so your loved ones aren't left with financial stress during an already difficult time.

It's one of the simplest policies to qualify for: most applicants between ages 50 and 85 are approved with just a few health questions and no medical exam required.

  • No medical exam — approval based on a short health questionnaire
  • Guaranteed death benefit paid to your chosen beneficiary
  • Permanent whole life — never expires, premiums stay fixed
  • Coverage from $5,000 to $25,000 — tailored to your needs
  • Builds cash value over time that you can borrow against
  • Same-day approval available with many leading carriers

Why Final Expense Makes Sense

Simple to get, powerful in protection — final expense insurance removes one of the most common financial burdens families face.

No Medical Exam

Qualify with just a few health questions — no blood tests, no doctor visits, no waiting for lab results. Most applicants are approved same-day.

Permanent Coverage

As a whole life policy, it never expires. Your premium stays the same and coverage remains in force as long as premiums are paid — for life.

Affordable Premiums

Designed specifically for seniors on fixed incomes — premiums start as low as $25/month and remain fixed, making budgeting simple and predictable.

Protects Your Family

The average funeral costs $8,000–$12,000. Without coverage, that burden falls on grieving family members. Final expense removes that stress entirely.

Builds Cash Value

Like all whole life policies, your final expense plan builds a small cash value over time that you can borrow against if you ever need emergency funds.

Fast Claims Payout

Beneficiaries typically receive the full death benefit within days of filing a claim — providing the immediate cash needed for funeral arrangements.

Talk to an Advisor
01
Can I really get approved without a medical exam?
Yes. Final expense policies use "simplified underwriting" — which means you answer a short list of health questions instead of undergoing a physical exam, blood tests, or doctor visits. Approval is based on those answers, and most applicants between ages 50–85 qualify. Some carriers even offer guaranteed issue options where no health questions are asked at all (though premiums are slightly higher).
02
What does final expense insurance actually cover?
The death benefit can be used for anything — the payout goes directly to your beneficiary as tax-free cash. It's typically used for funeral and burial costs, outstanding medical bills, legal and estate fees, credit card debt, and even as a small inheritance. Your family decides how to use it — there are no restrictions.
03
Is there a waiting period before the policy pays out?
Most simplified issue policies pay the full death benefit from day one. However, guaranteed issue policies (no health questions at all) typically have a 2-year graded benefit — meaning if you pass away in the first two years from natural causes, the payout is the premiums paid plus interest. After 2 years, the full benefit applies. Our advisors will clearly explain any waiting period before you enroll.
04
What if I already have a pre-existing condition?
Many pre-existing conditions are still insurable under final expense plans. Common conditions like controlled diabetes, high blood pressure, and even past heart issues may still qualify for simplified issue coverage. Guaranteed issue plans accept virtually everyone regardless of health history. We work with multiple carriers to find you the best rate given your health profile.
05
What's the difference between final expense and regular whole life?
Final expense is a small whole life policy — same permanent coverage, same cash value growth, same fixed premiums. The main differences are: smaller coverage amounts ($5K–$25K vs. $100K+), simplified underwriting (no medical exam), and it's specifically designed for seniors. If you need larger coverage or are younger, a traditional whole life or IUL policy may be a better fit.
06
Can my child purchase a final expense policy for me?
Yes, absolutely. Adult children frequently purchase final expense policies for their parents as an act of love and financial planning. The child can be listed as both the policy owner and beneficiary. The parent must provide consent and answer the health questions, but the child can handle all payments and administration. It's one of the most common ways we see these policies purchased.
